As March comes to a close, spend this final weekend celebrating film club Cineville’s 10th year anniversary. You can also pay a visit to an art exhibition that uses art as inspiration and end the week with a discussion of intersectional feminism. We have lots of things for you to do–
Friday, 29 March
Cineville is celebrating its 10 year anniversary! The movie club invites everyone to experience a magical evening at Generator, which used to be the Zoological Museum of Amsterdam. At the event, you can journey through a variety of rooms that attempt to convey different film environments. You can dance the whole evening or watch a plethora of musical and theatrical performances. Celebration begins at 21. At Generator, Mauritskade 57, Amsterdam. Tickets for €10 to €17.50.
Although the original Brexit plan of leaving the EU today fell through, Bleyenberg will continue to host its Brexit Silent Disco. Whether the UK leaves the EU or not, the organisers want you to enjoy a silent night of dancing to the Spice Girls. Robbie Williams and Take That, all European artists. Dance starts at 23. Saturday, 30 March
Pay a visit to Cartooning Syria, an exhibition hosted by Humanity House that showcases the work of 39 artists. The cartoons and projections all deal with the Syrian uprising and its aftermath. Showcase begins at 10. At Humanity House, Prinsegracht 8, The Hague.
XYZ will showcase for the first time today at Go Gallery. The exhibition will bring together work from internationally recognised artists whose art is influenced by mathematics and geometry. Exhibition begins at 17. At Go Gallery, Marnixstraat 127, Amsterdam.
Sunday, 31 March
Theatre School Utrecht Festival will host a day full of workshops, shows, masterclasses and presentations. At the event, you can improve your acting skills or even watch a student-made show. Everyone is welcome, regardless of age. Workshop begins at 12. At Domplein, 3512 Utrecht, Utrecht. Free.
The Feminist Club Amsterdam in collaboration with Molli Chaoot will host their monthly Intersections Cafe, where visitors can discuss issues related to intersectional feminism.
