PanDam Magazine is launching its very own podcast: Voices of Amsterdam. By engaging in personal conversations with people connected to Amsterdam we seek to expose different facets of the city through the narrative of those who make it what it is. Our hope? Enabling Amsterdam’s residents to creatively share their thoughts, passions and experiences using the guiding medium of sound: voices, music and sound fragments sourced directly from the City.
In our first episode, Jeffrey -the soul keeping alive the spirit of undergound cinema in Amsterdam- takes us on a journey through weird times, sci-fi and personal memories. When Jeffrey first came to Europe in 1984 he found his way in Amsterdam, “a wild city”. In the 90s things started to change: the alternative cinema scene in Amsterdam gradually vanished and Jeffrey said “enough is enough“.
Navigating through weird times, so called twilight zones, Jeffrey diagnoses the science-fiction like reality we find ourselves in today.
