With 5G technology imminent (2020) in the Netherlands, hundreds of people took to the Den Haag streets to protest its implementation.
Marching between the city’s Centraal Station and Binnenhof, the protestors expressed concern over a multitude of potential issues surrounding 5G, yielding sign saying “5G = killing us softly” and “Wij zijn geen proefkonijnen” (We’re not guinea pigs).
Though the Dutch government says their are no health concerns associated with %G, the protesters are not convinced. Amongst their health-related complaints were calling for reduced levels of permitted radiation, improved privacy regulations, a study to monitor its effects on climate. Additionally, concerns over Chinese espionage through KPN’s newly signed agreement with Huawei.
