A suitcase containing body parts was found at Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport.
A spokesperson for Koninklijke Marechaussee said that, though the suitcase was found in an odd location at the airport, in a hangar where suitcases rarely end up, there seem to be no nefarious aspects to the find. The body parts were most likely intended for medical science purposes and the suitcase lost as part of an earlier shipment. Regardless, Koninklijke Marechaussee would not comment further on the origins of the suitcase or add any additional details regarding which airline or hangar location the suitcase was found
“As soon as something is weird or punishable, we are called in. We opened the case and then made the lurid discovery,” the spokesperson for the policing force in charge of airport security said.
