Another crystal meth bust worth millions found, this time in Hilversum

A 47-year-old man from Almeer, a 32-year-old man from Amsterdam, and a 43-year-old man from Uithoorn were arrested on Monday in possession of 32 kilos of Mexican crystal meth.

The bust, which had a street value of some 3.2 million Euro, is another sign of the increasing influence of crystal meth in the Netherlands. Last month 86 kilos were uncovered in the Port of Rotterdam, while a record 2500 kilos were uncovered in a Rotterdam building in June (a European record).

This week’s bust came hidden in a magnet via Amsterdam Schiphol and comes as Dutch police become increasingly concerned that Mexican cartels are pushing crystal meth into Western Europe.
