Google announced on Monday its intention to invest an additional 1 billion euros ($1.14 billion) to build data centers in the Netherlands. This will include a new facility in Middenmeer and an expansion of a data center currently under construction in Eemshaven. The Eemshaven project already had a 1.5 billion euro budget from Google.

The two cites will employ around 500 people said Google’s chief of data centers Joe Kava, on a call with reports, according to Reuters.
